Meet Our Team
Dr. Ariana’s goal for patients is always to provide them with a beautiful smile that not only complements their face but also ensures their smile is healthy and functions properly. Patients often spend a significant amount of time and energy searching for solutions to their dental problems only to be misdiagnosed or go untreated. Dr. Ariana finds it rewarding to offer patients real solutions that can change their lives.
Dr. Ariana received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Boston College, Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. Following in her father’s footsteps (Dr. Max), she went on to pursue a degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery, which she completed at the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, San Francisco, California, a nationally renowned institution of higher learning.
Dr. Ariana’s education is unique in that she received specialized training from the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI Global), which means she can diagnose and treat issues involving an improper bite, poor oral posture, or a constricted airway. These include headaches, temporomandibular disorders (TMD), facial pain, orthodontic problems, and sleep problems. She has experienced first-hand how these type of oral issues can affect one’s life. Her younger sister battled obstructive sleep apnea for many years, before being diagnosed and treated for her condition.
Dr. Ariana is proud to be associated with the outstanding organizations below:
• North American Association of Facial Orthotropics where she is a founding member and board member
• Monterey Bay Dental Society
• International Association of Physiologic Aesthetics
• American Academy of Craniofacial Pain
• American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine
• American Academy of Gnathologic Orthopedics
• American Dental Association
• California Dental Association
She is the treasurer of the North American Association of Facial Orthotropics, an organization that facilitates a philosophy towards Natural Growth Guidance of the face and jaws, to determine correct “oral posture.”
From 2012-2013, Dr. Ariana was county director of the Monterey Bay Dental Society (MBDS), which brings dental professionals and the public together by sharing informative news regarding dental health. In 2014, she became the vice president of MBDS, the president-elect in 2015, and is currently (2016) the president of MBDS.
Dr. Ariana is the co-founder of the Pacific Dental Mission, which provides the utmost support to dentists and dental professionals alike who provide the highest quality of dental care to patients.
Her certifications include Invisalign®, Biobloc Orthotropics®, SomnoMed Preferred Provider, meaning she can offer patients the newest, most effective treatments for orthodontics, correcting oral posture, and sleep apnea.
Spreading her knowledge outside of the office, Dr. Ariana lectures dentists and healthcare professionals about neuromuscular dentistry, facial growth guidance, sleep disordered breathing and Orthotropics®.
As a journalism and communications major in college, I never saw myself in the dental field. But after managing the family business for 20 years, I have come to enjoy every aspect of my position. My commitment to the practice extends far beyond the front desk. Having attended over 90% of the continuing education that the doctors attend, I am one of the few dental office managers who truly understands patients’ unique dental needs and treatment options. I find it very fulfilling to act as a concierge for all of our guests – whether walking people through the new patient experience or catching up with long-time patients – my job allows me to share the excitement the entire team has for our profession here at Ebrahimian Integrative Dentistry.
RDH & Orofacial Myologist
Jeanne Shimizu, RDH
Myofunctional Therapist, Buteyko Breathing educator
In almost 40 years of practicing dental hygiene, I have never enjoyed my profession as much as I do at Ebrahimian Integrative Dentistry. Working with Dr. Max and Dr. Ariana is a breath of fresh air. The level of care we are able to provide, thanks to our countless hours of continuing education, is truly astounding. I’m excited to be on the leading edge of hygiene, offering laser assisted periodontal therapy and seeing results I have never seen in hygiene before. I would not trust my teeth to anyone else, and I was overjoyed at the results I received from my Invisalign® and whitening treatments.
For almost 10 years, her role has included being the in-house myofunctional therapist and Buteyko Breathing educator. I am passionate about training with the leading experts in both fields, I am well-equipped to help people of all ages, and especially children, form proper oral habits and maximize their health for a lifetime.
Having grown up in Scotts Valley and been a longtime patient of Ebrahimian Integrative Dentistry myself, I was so excited to join the team as a dental assistant. Getting to know each of our patients and making that personal connection makes each day so enjoyable. I especially enjoy working with our pediatric patients to make their first visit to the dentist a fun and positive one.
Born and raised in Santa Cruz, I have enjoyed working in dentistry for over ten years in the community I call home. After a long stint in endodontics, I am so happy to be back working in a general dental office that takes such an integrative approach to patient care. I love watching the impact that cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics can have on a patient’s life.

Olivia Ambris, Patient Coordinator
After earning my degree in Health Administration and working for a time in home health care management, I came to Ebrahimian Integrative Dentistry excited to work more directly with patients. I enjoy getting to know our patients on a personal level, helping make every one of their experiences here a positive one.
